The Brief

The £6 million Yorkshire fund is a joint venture between Yorkshire Forward and Yorkshire Universities. The new proof of concept fund aims to encourage more commercially viable research projects and ideas out of the laboratory and classroom, and into the marketplace. Propositions that are found to have probable commercial viability will receive grants of between £30,000 and £70,000

The Solution

Working alongside Yorkshire Universities, Sadie Binns we created a striking visual style and brand identity, launch and marketing materials for Yorkshire Concept We developed and optomised the site www.yorkshireconcept.com using our own sophisticated but extremely easy to use content management system. The thisischemistry CMS is highly flexible and extremely ‘Google friendly’. Training for users takes just minutes.

The Results

We created over 20 posters for the successful launch which was attended by researchers and academics from the Universities of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan, Trinity and All Saints, York, York St Johns, Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull, Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam. The new brand and website receives praise for its clarity and professionalism.
