We asked Geo to illustrate our key services and process in the studio, office and meeting room. The results are a comprehensive ‘Wow’ entertaining our visitors and guests.  Geo introduced an array of quirky robots hard at work analysing, creating, managing, packaging and delivering great design and marketing results – in other words us!

At least one of our clients has been so taken by our new little friends, Geo has been lined up to create a piece of work for their new offices.
Now these little critters are beginning to making their way on to the web site there’s no stopping them, who knows where else they might appear next, Bradford beware!

Its been a delight to commission Monty Rakusen again, one of the UK’s most respected photographers, to work with us creating the images. Having recently worked with Monty on a more traditional corporate photography project for Facilities Management giants Romec it was great to collaborate on something completely different.

Monty describes his photography as “more like painting…there’s a lot of careful looking. I build a picture in my mind and then try to replicate it in the camera…this is a considered and calculated type of photography”.

The shoot entailed working at the clients offices in Bradford examines the way in which ordinary objects can take on an extraordinary life of their own. The images, some of which can be seen here will form the backdrop to a number of the marketing projects that we are working on as well as providing a useful resource for the in-house team

Apples I-pad - the road warriors new favourite tool?

We were recently asked to design a new PowerPoint presentation scheme for recruitment client, GrassGreener.  Specialising in finding the very best Technical Sales people for roles across Europe they often have to present in unusual circumstances.

We used PowerPoint so that the presentation could easily be customised whenever they required. Using elements of the brand we created for them some months ago we built a compelling and highly corporate presentation – the turnaround was tight but nothing we hadn’t done before.

The venue and meeting space however were tighter still with no room for cumbersome laptops and bulky visual aids- the presentation had to be delivered over dinner in a crowded restaurant to a very senior member of an International company.

Paul Hickey, Director of GrassGreener and self confessed ‘Apple obsessive’ came up with a great idea and transferred the presentation to his brand new I-Pad. Paul even came up with a way of controlling the presentation using his I-phone. The result was a presentation with real wow delivered using this years most coveted gadget. The I-pad, the presentation and the team from Grassgreener performed flawlessly and scooped a major contract – well done chaps!

So, perhaps the I-pad could be the new choice of sales professionals? A hybrid between the traditional brochure and the road warriors favourite tool,  the PowerPoint presentation. A halfway house that allows your client to physically hold the presentation, flip through it at their own speed or pause when and where they want. By embedding video, additional data more images could presentations become a genuinely immersive experience and PowerPoint fatigue a thing of the past?

John recently appeared as the mystery guest on BBC3’s  Russell Howard’s Good News with our new ball. He showed and performed a routine and then chatted to Russell about what he has done in his life and career as a football freestyler.

Two years later Laura returns to thisischemistry with creative partner Claire Wombwell from Hertfordshire, who she met whilst studying for an Advertising Degree in Cheltenham.

Despite the creative industry being highly competitive the team found early success in London with competition wins such as Iris Potential, D&AD Advertising workshops and presenting ideas to Orange headquarters. Since then they have created work for brands such as Heinz, E.ON, Boots and Waitrose.

Being Claire’s first time in Bradford “Everyone’s so friendly here, I’m really impressed by their high standard of creativity.” Laura says “It’s great being back and thisischemistry has always kept in touch, so it’s good to see them again in their new office.”

It’s early stages for thisischemistry’s freelance creative team but expect some exciting work out this summer.

Chemistry help Bahco to exceed sales forecasts

Bahco professional hand tools are designed and manufactured with over 150 years of heritage; strong expertise in innovating and manufacturing the most advanced tools and building long-term partnerships with distributors.

Chemistry Creative Partners work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to develop ‘added benefit’ sales promotions for their distributers and their customers.

Chemistry recently produced the Christmas 2009 Sales Collateral with the objective of helping uplift sales year on year. The promotion was a massive success, exceeding target with over two months of the campaign left. A real cracker of a Christmas promotion !

On the back of this success Chemistry have just released a football related promotion for Bahco in plenty of time for the World Cup….Come on England !

Waspinator needs no refills, power supply or batterys to repel wasps rather than poisoning

Tasked by their Marketing Manager to create a high impact low cost display unit we experimented with a number of formats we developed a combined POS and packaging unit that really stands out from the crowd.

• The main requirements of the Outer Packaging were:
• To protect the contents of the package
• To make the whole packaging appealing to stockists and independent retailers
• To convey the product benefits in an appealing way
• To communicate the brand

The main objective is of course to sell the product at the point of purchase. Pre-orders have been extremely encouraging and enquiries have been received from stockists across Europe.

The new packaging and point of sale for Waspinator will be produced and available through all good garden centres throughout the 2009 Season and available online at www.waspinator.co.uk

Chemistry has already built and launched a new website to coincide with the start of a nationwide public relations campaign.
The agency, which has its office in Little Germany, is now finalising the “Outstanding, Freestanding” campaign marketing materials to support Clearwater’s network of distributors, along with sales brochures and point of sale for retailers.

Martin Fisher, Partner at this is Chemistry, said: “Clearwater is a major brand not only here in the UK but across many parts of the world so it’s really rewarding that the company has chosen to put its faith in an agency on its doorstep.
