<p><strong>The Brief</strong></p>
<p>We set ourselves the task of bringing our walls to life here at thisischemistry and in the process develop a series of illustrations that could help support and promote our brand and in particular help to demonstrate how we work and what we do to our clients in an entertaining and engaging way.</p>
<p><strong>The Solution</strong></p>
<p>We invited the acclaimed and prolific <a href="http://www.getaloadageo.co.uk/">Yorkshire illustrator Geo Law</a> to collaborate with us and to let his marker pen run free on the walls. After bouncing drawings between us for a few days Geo evolved a series of worker robots clearly researching, analysing, thinking, designing, managing and delivering outstanding creative solutions for our clients. This was then translated in to three stunning murals in the studio, accounts office and meeting room along with numerous robots in the least expecting of corners.</p>
<p><strong>The Results</strong><br />
Have been a resounding &#8216;Wow&#8217; constantly offering an immediate focal point as guests visit us at thisischemistry and we love them!  But much more telling than that was the response one of our clients who has been so taken by our new little friends, Geo has been lined up to create a piece of work for their new UK head offices.</p>

<h4>The Brief</h4>
<p>Central Science Laboratory (CSL) was already an existing client.  In 2009 they joined forces with Defra’s Plant Health Division (which includes bee health), the Plant Health and Seeds Inspectorate, Plant Variety Rights Office and Seeds Division, and the UK Government Decontamination Service to form Fera (The Food and Environment Research Agency).  We were invited to pitch for the design and print of the very first Fera Annual Report &amp; Accounts – which we won!  The purpose of the document was to clearly communicate evidence, analysis and advice to Government, international and private sector organisations.  We were given a theme for the report which was ‘Delivering customer needs to meet the challenges of the future’.</p>

<h4>The  Solution</h4>
<p>For the initial pitch presentation we supplied various options for concept, front cover designs and templates for inner pages such as an Index page, title page, financial page, etc., each with a written rationale.  We were also asked to present a written proposal detailing in-house costs, procedures and print costs.  Our objective was to illustrate how we could present all of the supplied information in visually appealing formats and templates.<br />
The report needed to showcase Fera’s skills, resources and achievements in order to secure budget for the following year. <!--EndFragment--></p>
<h4>The  Results</h4>
<p>We produced an Annual Report &amp; Accounts that had impact from the front cover!  The front cover image clearly conveyed the uncertainty and concerns about the current economic climate and hope for a brighter future, and this colourful imagery was replicated throughout.  The report was clearly divided into digestible sections for the reader, and articles were highlighted for prominence.  Even the financial pages of the report were clearly presented and appealing.<br />
The entire job was produced to budget under extremely strict yet changeable deadlines and very specific instructions for the supply of artwork and electronic files.<br />
The project was successfully delivered on time to 4 locations across the UK including The House of Commons.</p>

<h4>The Brief</h4>
<p>Romec wanted to take the ground  floor of their Leeds office and transform it into an ‘innovation centre’ &#8211; a permanent space to fully demonstrate their capabilities, values and innovation to existing/new/potential Romec clients. We were approached to work as their partners in developing the design of the space, reception, exterior and to create all the graphic/ multimedia displays for this unique project as well as working directly with them to create key focal points and delivery.</p>

<h4>The  Solution</h4>
<p>We started with developing elements of the new logo, identity and brand colours and we turned this into a unique wayfinding/signage system, information boards, displays and furniture to seamlessly guide visitors around the space and highlight Romec&#8217;s key messaging and allow them to create a journey bespoke to each individual. Ultimately our aim was to create an unforgettable experience for every visitor which started with the use of heat sensitive ink revealing a personalised invite, designed to reflect Romec&#8217;s innovation and security and tracking capabilities. The highlight of the centre was our creation of a fully interactive model Scalectrix including bespoke model making and railway set demonstrating in real time a number of their services through mini CCTV cameras and monitors as part of the display. <!--EndFragment--></p>
<h4>The  Results</h4>
<p>The results have been fantastic and has allowed cross sell of existing clients in to other services and has helped bring in new clients. The centre is also used as a training tool for in-house staff and a space to showcase the latest innovations.</p>

<h4>The Brief</h4>
<p>Chemistry was approached by Romec’s Special Projects Group after they were appointed by Camelot to manage and implement the change over of all National Lottery POS units, across 28,000 premises nationwide, within 14 weeks. A huge project for one organisation and Romec handled the project in full and internally from concept to completion. The roll out was a big success story for them and Romec wanted us to produce a short film to capture the roll out of this truly unique project to help demonstrate their capability and use as a sales tool.</p>

<h4>The  Solution</h4>
<p>We began with a storyboard presentation to help plan the scenes and content of the footage with the client. From here we agreed that the film would work on three levels; an advert for Romec Special Projects, a unique document of a project that ultimately touched all our daily lives, and that the end product would be engaging and interesting enough to elevate it above being ‘just another corporate film’. To do this we employed the journalist and acclaimed documentary writer Luke Casey and worked very closely to develop the script, direct the shoot and lead the post production which included in-house development of animation and graphics.<!--EndFragment--></p>
<h4>The  Results</h4>
<p>Both Romec and Camelot were thrilled with the project, the latter describing the six minute film as “the best corporate film we have ever seen”. Romec immediately added the film as a permanent display within their innovation centre and Special Projects continue to use the film as their main marketing tool.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Corporate photography to support major re-brand of Supplies Team Solutions]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Brief</strong></p>
<p>We were approached by Supplies Team, one of the UK’s top three stationery and office supplies companies, to evaluate and rebrand key areas of the business. This was completed and then required a suite of images to be used in the first corporate brochure under the new identity. The corporate brochure is aimed at high level procurement staff and showcases their work to some of Europes largest corporate and public sector organisations.</p>
<p><strong>The Solution</strong></p>
<p>Having undertaken a full brand review with Supplies Team Solutions we developed a theme for the images; &#8220;Looking at ordinary things in an extraordinary way&#8221;. Based on the results of our research we quickly saw how attached people can become with their stationery, going right back to school when we used put our names onto our pencils. We looked at the way in which we all customise our working environments to some extent and how sometimes &#8216;the mundane can be marvellous&#8217;. We selected award winning photographer and all round good egg <a title="Monty Rakusen photographer" href="http://www.rakusen.co.uk/">Monty Rakusen</a> for the shoot. Monty worked with us to shine a light on an element of our working lives that is often overlooked and at the same time discovered a new and rather wonderful take on the office environment we all thought we knew&#8230;</p>

<p>The results speak for themselves in the marvellous images below and the reaction of all who see them.</p>

<p>Chemistry was approached by Everbuild, the UK and Irelands largest independent manufacturer of sealants, adhesives, fillers and building chemicals to design a range of fresh packaging solutions to enable them to re-launch one of their products.</p>

<p>Having undertaken research it was clear we needed something with real gravitas and stand out to achieve cut through in such a densely populated category. We designed a full range of engaging packaging solutions and POS ideas to support the launch and re-designed the whole look and feel of the products.<br />

<p>The new packaging was greatly feedback from Everbuild’s customers and the end users. As a result of such a successful launch we are working with Everbuild later this year to develop new packaging solutions for a new product range.</p>

<p>Following on from the success of the Services brochure, Last Cawthra Feather asked Chemistry to develop a new online character, which they could used on their website and as an email character.</p>
<p>The purpose of the campaign was to promote their new website and to draw people on to the site with a character which people would be able to relate to.</p>

<p>Chemistry got to work on the loveable bird character and ‘Lenny’ was born.  Our creative director illustrated the character and our web team took on the task of developing the bird and bringing Lenny to life for use on emails and the website. <!--EndFragment--></p>

<p>Such is the success of Lenny that plans are already a foot to develop him further and the staff of Last Cawthra Feather have definitely taken Lenny ‘under their wing!’</p>

<p>Chemistry were asked by Last Cawthra Feather; Bradford longest established Solicitors practice to develop a brand new ‘range of services’ document that was compact, informative and clear and conscise to read. The document was to be A5 in size and to be used as an introduction to Last Cawthra Feather.</p>

<p>Chemistry developed the concept ‘Just in case’ which the client loved because of its direct, to the point messaging. If you need a solicitor, trust and turn to the feather of Last Cawthra Feather. <p>The result was a piece of creative that was met with wide scale approval from the partners in Last Cawthra Feather, their marketing team and their biggest critics; their customers the public. <h4>The Brief</h4>
<p>Chemistry were asked to rebrand and redesign collateral for Hydraulic Analysis Group. The group services ‘the crème de la crème’ of oil customers throughout the globe and Chemistry identified that the current identity, website and sales collateral were in need of modification. The group are leaders in the measurement of liquids through pipelines and their image needed to reflect their leadership.</p>

<h4>The  Solution</h4>
<p>The Hydraulic Analysis group is made up of two companies : Hydraulic Analysis and SSL. Chemistry decided to colour code both companies and re-introduce them back into the group identity. By doing this the companies can display their identity either separately or together as a group to maximum effect. <!--EndFragment--></p>
<h4>The  Results</h4>
<p>The client asked Chemistry to develop an innovative brochure which would introduce both businesses to new customers. Chemistry developed an innovative fold in the brochure which resembled a pipe line and drew the customer in, to open the document, read the document and realise the businesses creative flair through its brochure work.</p>
<p>Chemistry produced a website which is worthy of the Hydraulic Analysis name and their reputation.</p>
