Injecting new life into medical and asset tagging brand

Injecting new life into medical and asset tagging brand

Date: 04/06/2009

An international medical and asset tagging business has appointed this is Chemistry to redefine its position in the market place, and to help with the launch of new products.

We’ll be developing an entirely new brand concept for Active Tagging, including its Xtag product, in addition to launching a single web portal to bring the two existing names within one site.

Moving forward, we will handle the design and production of a range of sales brochures, plus the management of email campaigns and media relations support.

Active Tagging was established in 2007 by entrepreneurs Chris Bullock and Simon Daffern, and has its headquarters in Dean Clough, Halifax, which is only about nine miles from our offices.

Jonathan Southcott, Partner at this is Chemistry, said: “Active Tagging was established only two years ago, with Xtag proving to be a real success story not only in the UK but gradually across the world. However, on the back of its rapid growth branding and marketing issues have not kept up.

“We are looking to ensure a long-lasting solution that will emphasise the quality of both Active Tagging and of Xtag, while also speaking volumes to the target audience.

“With any client looking for a solution to their design needs we begin by putting senior staff through a brand awareness workshop to help define what the business’ current provision says, and to also determine where they are looking to take their company or product.”

Active Tagging offers a turnkey solution to RFID labelling systems, and Xtag is aimed at the healthcare sector; particularly babies, new mothers and the infirm.

Chris Bullock, who has a background in computer electronics, got the idea for Xtag while looking into developing a system to keep track of legal case files.

He said: “With the help of this is Chemistry we are now in a position to lift the company profile to the next stage of development. They have seamlessly partnered with us to create what feels like our own marketing and public relations department.”
