Martin was inaugurated into the marketing industry as a media buyer for major retail accounts before a substantial stint in publishing. Lured back into the industry by ‘an offer he couldn’t ignore,” he joined a Midlands-based Agency to work on major accounts.He established a well-regarded, Leeds-based marketing services agency in 1988 and remained as Managing Director until 2006 when he left to establish Chemistry with long-time friend and colleague Jonathan Southcott.
Martin has a passion for the Creative and Marketing industry, together with a real affinity for making things work, this defines his approach to every job. Martin’s diverse skill set which includes concept development, art development, communication strategies, and account development, mean that he is a versatile player who is valued by the team. His pragmatic and hands on approach have ensured the overwhelming success of numerous significant campaigns, including branding, creative, web development, packaging, sales strategy, events, and product launches throughout the UK, India, China, the United States, and Europe.
His creative, digressive, and heterodox approach to demanding marketing problems is results orientated rather than purely philosophical, this has lead to recognition in the business to business, and business to customer sectors.
